Vulnerability Disclosure Policy

HomeAuto Solutions Pte Ltd, the leading smart solution provider in Smart Home, Smart Office and Smart Care, is committed to ensuring the safety and security of our customers. Toward this end, HomeAuto Solutions is now formalising our policy for accepting vulnerability reports in our products. We hope to foster an open partnership with the security community, and we recognise that the work the community does is important in continuing to ensure safety and security for all of our customers.

We have developed this policy to both reflect our corporate values and to uphold our legal responsibility to good-faith security researchers that are providing us with their expertise.

Initial Program and Scope:

HomeAuto Solutions’s Vulnerability Disclosure Program initially covers the following products:

While HomeAuto Solutions develops a number of other products, we ask that all security researchers submit vulnerability reports only for the stated product list. We intend to increase our scope as we build capacity and experience with this process.

Researchers who submit a vulnerability report to us will be given full credit on our website once the submission has been accepted and validated by our product security team.

Legal Posture:

HomeAuto Solutions Pte Ltd WILL NOT engage in legal action against individuals who submit vulnerability reports through our Vulnerability Reporting Form. We openly accept reports for the currently listed HomeAuto Solutions products. We agree not to pursue legal action against individuals who:

• Engage in testing of systems/research without harming HomeAuto Solutions or its customers.
• Engage in vulnerability testing within the scope of our vulnerability disclosure program.
• Test on products without affecting customers, or receive permission/consent from customers before engaging in vulnerability testing against their devices/software, etc.
• Adhere to the laws of their location and the location of HomeAuto Solutions. For example, violating laws that would only result in a claim by HomeAuto Solutions (and not a criminal claim) may be acceptable as HomeAuto Solutions is authorising the activity (reverse engineering or circumventing protective measures) to improve its system.
• Refrain from disclosing vulnerability details to the public before a mutually agreed-upon timeframe expires.

Duration of Security Support:

HomeAuto Solutions will provide security update support to the below mentioned devices up to the respective date of expiration and extended support may be provided after the stated date.

• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee WIFI Hub (HA-W-ZH) date of expiration will be on 11 Nov 2023.
• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee Rocker Smart Switches (HA-Z-RWS-1G, HA-Z-RWS-2G, HA-Z-RWS-3G) date of expiration will be on 03 Mar 2024.
• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee Touch Smart Switches (HA-Z-WS-1G, HA-Z-WS-2G, HA-Z-WS-3G) date of expiration will be on 04 Mar 2024.
• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee Motorised Curtain Motor (HA-Z-MC-M) date of expiration will be on 01 Jun 2024.
• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee WIFI IR Blaster (HA-W-IRB) date of expiration will be on 24 May 2024.
• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee 30A Water Heater Switch (HA-Z-RWS-30AWH) date of expiration will be on 01 Jun 2024.
• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee PIR Motion Detector (HA-Z-PIRS) date of expiration will be on 08 Sept 2024.

• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee SOS Button (HA-Z-SOS) date of expiration will be on 15 Mar 2025.
• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee Window & Door Sensor (HA-Z-WDS) date of expiration will be on 24 Mar 2025.
• HomeAuto Solutions Zigbee Smoke Detector (HA-Z-SD) date of expiration will be on 24 Mar 2025.

Preference, Prioritisation, and Acceptance Criteria

We will use the following criteria to prioritise and triage submissions.

What we would like to see from you:

• Well-written reports in English will have a higher chance of resolution.
• Reports that include proof-of-concept code equip us to better triage.
• Reports that include only crash dumps or other automated tool output may receive lower priority.
• Reports that include products not on the initial scope list may receive lower priority.
• Please include how you found the bug, the impact, and any potential remediation.
• Please include any plans or intentions for public disclosure.

What you can expect from us:

• A timely response to your email (within 3 business days).
• After triage, we will send an expected timeline, and commit to being as transparent as possible about the remediation timeline as well as on issues or challenges that may extend it.
• An open dialog to discuss issues.
• Notification when the vulnerability analysis has completed each stage of our review.
• Credit after the vulnerability has been validated and fixed.

If we are unable to resolve communication issues or other problems, HomeAuto Solutions may bring in a neutral third party (such as CERT/CC ,ICS-CERT, or the relevant regulator) to assist in determining how best to handle the vulnerability.
